Common sense from the UN...stand by for lightning strike

From the UK Telegraph comes a shocking bit of common sense from the UN.  The only hilarious thing in the article is the insinuation that it is the environmentalists that drove this sort of anti-green fuel thinking when every person with common sense knew from the outset that using your food supplies as fuel was a losing proposition on all sides(except that is the environmentalist driven "green" pet projects and farmers/ethanol producers being subsidized by the government).
Here is the bottom line.  You have a civil government that states it is concerned for the common man and their everyday plight in making ends meet.  Instead of promoting things that actually lead to lower prices at the grocery store though, you institute policies and regulations that encourage the growth of specific crops in order to make overpriced fuel that you then subsidize which allows for companies to make money at the expense of the average consumer buying bread at the marketplace.  With friends like this looking out for you there is no doubt why food prices are skyrocketing and as of yet these "green" fuels are nothing more than overpriced pipe dreams.
