Congress needs a raise

Although probably not going to garner significant support, at least Congressman Moran is consistent in asking for pay raises for Congress at the same time him and others are busy bloating the entire Federal budget.
As always when these types of arguments come up, there is never any need to answer the tough questions such as how high he thinks Congressional salaries need to be.  Of course, he will never have to answer the question because he knows that this idea is dead on arrival given that the average citizen is not really concerned if two homes can be paid for while they are busy buried in their one mortgage.  Additionally, using the justification that raising salaries is the only way to keep modest income people interested in politics is laughable given the amount of money that politicians dump into every competitive race.
Oh, by the way, don't feel too bad for the Congressman.  In this article from Open Secrets is a graph of the average wealth for our representatives and I think we can assume that most of them are doing just okay.  Also, remember this when Congress begins to attack the pay of the military who have deployed in harm's way and don't have the time Congressman Moran has to worry about things such as supporting two house payments.
