Mozilla CEO resigns after targeting and killing homosexuals

Actually, the co-founder of Mozilla, Brendan Eich, didn't kill anyone, but he did commit the unpardonable offense of crossing the homosexual lobby by donating $1,000 the the Prop 8 initiative in California.
Mozilla Chairwoman Mitchell Baker referenced the resignation by "apologiz[ing] for the company's actions in an open letter online Thursday."  Yes, they should apologize, but not for promoting or forcing Mr. Eich to resign but for this ridiculous doublespeak which they continued to spout forth.  "Mozilla believes both in equality and freedom of speech. Equality is necessary for meaningful speech. And you need free speech to fight for equality. Figuring out how to stand for both at the same time can be hard.”  Equality and Free Speech, now that is a interesting juxtaposition and we can see which one is most valuable to Mozilla, so remember that next time you use their web browser where exactly free speech ranks in their list of core values.  Oh by the way, there is no evidence that Mr. Eich ever violated any of the companies policies on equality in the workforce or that he wasn't the most qualified for the job, but there is plenty of evidence that employees of Mozilla need not voice their own opinions too loud or even donate money to certain causes.  I sure hope the rest of Mozilla's leadership sanitizes their past donations, who knows what lurks in those closets.
