There is no limit to the reach that government will take over your life and that of your family if you allow them an opening. The saying is especially true of the government that if you give them an inch, they will take a mile. Although the government is especially aggressive in taking control over many facets of our lives, the truth is that they understand that there is no larger gain to be made in influencing the future citizens of our nation then if they can dislodge family government with civil government.
This article from Political Outcast, highlights another way in which this process is taking place. For the civil government, it is not enough that they tell you what you should learn, when you should learn it, how best to assess your learning, etc.. what is really at stake is that they want to subvert the role that is reserved for the family. Ultimately, it should matter nothing what the government wants your children to learn, it is the responsibility of the family. Just because many or the majority of families have abdicated their roles and responsibilities, this does not remove the family from ultimate responsibility over their God given sphere of governance. When families do neglect their responsibilities, the government sees no problem inserting themselves into the equation, and once there, you can bet that they will do everything to solidify their new found territory. As the rule of civil government takes hold, it will, by necessity continue to push the family further and further out of its rightful span of control to where they are no longer concerned just with your academic achievements but also, as in this article, what you eat and how you look. Make no mistake, the introduction of government oversight into individual health care is just one more cog in this game of shifting control that is taking place. If the government is paying for your healthcare and your schooling, then of course they can make demands as to your diet and your curriculum. Don't fool yourself though, this is not about how much kids weigh or what textbooks are being used in the classroom, it is about who is going govern the family, parents or the civil government.
