Core beliefs and their impact on society

One of the ways in which we see how a nation's core beliefs affects its future stability is how it treats and views the family.  This article by Political Outcast shows how for Japan, their views on marriage and raising families have led to a period of extended childlessness which will eventually be debilitating to the country both in terms of economic and military power.  This problem is not confined only to Japan as the majority of the United States' allies in Europe also find themselves a slave to their own future demographics and declining birthrates. In the United States, our views on the family and children have also taken a dramatic shift and when the civil government enacts policies to promote or denigrate the familial institution, the results are dramatic.  One way in which we see this is the reality of marriage penalties in taxation, welfare, etc. which will inevitably lead some people to make decisions based on financial reasons rather than what is best for the family and children.  On another front, the civil government's legitimization of "gay marriage" which is neither legitimate or marriage seeks to further weaken the importance of the traditional family by proposing the idea that any "family" is perfectly capable of performing the necessary role of raising children.  Biologically, we know this is not the case given that homosexual relationships cannot naturally produce children and thus allowing children to be raised in these environments is nothing more than man's desire to create an artificial representation of family.  As for single parents, despite the success of some, the scientific evidence overwhelmingly shows that a traditional family is best capable of providing the wide range of emotional, spiritual and physical needs for children.  The bottom line is that the world does not value the family and the incalculable value that it has on the foundation of society.  The family is the true first government for the child, the parents who will develop the worldview and important life building blocks that are needed for our leaders of tomorrow.  When civil government tries to redefine family, it does this for multiple reasons, but whether consciously or not, it does so at its own peril believing that it is in a better place to raise children then the family itself.  It is at this nexus, when the civil government superimposes itself on the family government that conflict is inevitable and in the end it will result in the true destruction of family followed by the future decay of society at large.
